Whether you are passing through, staying for a while, or planning to stay here for the long haul, it can be difficult to find your way around Koh Tao. The island's layout itself is pretty simple, but after living here on and off for nearly a year, the things that were most difficult for me to come to terms with was where to find what you need. Whether it is food or hardware do not assume that you can only find it on the mainland. Since I first visited Koh Tao, there are more shops and supermarkets, more ferry's and even more concrete on the roads, making life easy for everyone. I will try to help you know where to go and what to do if Scuba diving is not your thing, or you jut fancy a change.
